Red DIPAs are back! We brewed Greg the Red IPA a while ago, and this is its bigger version. Hopped with Nectaron, Mosaic and Galaxy. Is it the year of the Red Double IPA? This was a Tank 5 brew, and holy moly it’s something to behold. Malts and hops turned up to 11.

Can. Just a very mild haze on this deepish amber beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Airy palate, a little dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Fairly light bodied malts, but as you would expect with this colour or beer, a little toffee caramel over the light malts sweetness. Certainly not oversweet. Hops bring soft cooling pine, juicy fruity marmalade vibes. The hop choices making a difference here, mild candy fruits and soft tropical fruits enhance this already very tasty red dipa but, do not overwhelm the core character. A rather tasty brew that goes down very well indeed.

Creamy off white head on a reddish brown coloured body.
Resin, spruce & berry aroma.
Medium to full bodied, smooth with a sticky back.
Berries, spices, malt, resin & pine tastes with a bitterly hopped finish.
Red DIPA - New style to me.
Good stuff

500ml can. Lightly hazed red with a beige head. Aroma of caramel, red berries, toffee, pine. Taste of caramel and toffee malts, red berries, tea, citrus peel, strong piney finish with a firm bitterness, bittersweet overall. Medium-full bodied. A fantastic Red IPA!

Can from House Of Trembling Madness. Hazy amber body with an off-white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of caramel, flower stems and strawberry laces. Flavour of toffee, stewed tea and mashed strawberry. Medium to full body with a slick mouthfeel. This is fantastic. It’s rich, hoppy and moreish. More red IPAs/DIPAs please!
