Zijn we aan het flirten met Star Warriors? Misschien wel, misschien niet. Maar zelfs een probe droid herkent iconische label art als ie het ziet! De waarheid is, is dat dit niet de eerste keer is dat Uiltje de TIE Fighter rodeo bestijgt. We brouwen al sinds 2012 tegen conformiteit en onderdrukking. Deze donkere, dikke, rijke en chocolade-achtige Imperial Stout is simpelweg ons meest recente slagveld voor hop-individualiteit en expressie. Elke slok is een galactische middelvinger tegen tirannen, zowel bestaand als verzonnen.

On tap at Cafe Natte. Alphen Rijn. Black beer lasting tan head. Big chocolate aroma like a 60% cocoa chocolate. Smooth in the mouth. A little milk lactose. Smooth

Can. Black with a cm of tan head. Aroma of mocha - more chocolate than coffee - roast, brioche. Roast and some hops emphasize bitter chocolate and make it seem less sweet than it probably is. No tricks but polished.

Donkerbruin toto bijna zwart bier met mooie schuimkraag. Smaak is bitter met veel zwarte koffie, wat geroosterd brood, bittere chocolade en een heel klein beetje anijs. Heel erg goed.

Opaque colour, mid-sized brownish head. Cocoa, chocolate aroma. Medium-bodied. Chocolaty, coffeish stout. Nice roastyness in the aftertaste backed with hops. Although they mention "Sachetorte" this is more towards classic imperial stout than any kind of pastry. Solid.

Black with a beige head. Thick, full bodied. Good dry roasted notes over sweet malts, chocolate, light vanilla, cocoa, a touch of very dark ripe fruits. Long, lingering bittersweet finish with cocoa, chocolate, sweet malts. Wouldn’t call this a special beer nor does it bring anything new to the table but it is a very well made beer with loads of goodness within.
