About as heavy on the rye as a rye IPA can be. Nose is a mixture of dry rye spiciness and an underlying earthy hop base. Lovely pour, coming out a hazy orange-brown with a moderate beige head and ample lace. Taste combines rye, orange, berry, caramel, rye, toasted grain, tropical fruits, rye, black pepper, rye, pine, rye, and rye. Finish is both earthy and spicy, with a grainy undertone that pads the moderate IBUs on the fade. Complexity keeps blossoming as the pint warms, and the texture is pitch-perfect for an IPA, creamy yet boisterous enough to keep the bitterness from growing dominant. The more I drink, the higher my rating gets. Could be the alcohol. Could be this is a great IPA. Yum.

Can from Bruisin’ Ales. Pours hazy Amber/copper. Main aroma note is rye. Med body at least. It’s not quite dry, mixed fruits, and a good dose of rye. Like rye. It’s pretty bitter. Rye must help with that. Yummy stuff.

16oz can pours a dark orange with some clumpy, white head. Nose has malt, orange, mild pepper. Flavor is better, orange, malt, cracker, pepper, some soap. Dry finish. A bit muddled.

Draft at the brewery taproom during RBWG 2014 - Asheville. Pours clear orange-gold with a creamy white head. The nose holds citrus fruits and dried bread. Medium sweet flavor with notes of orange, grainy bread, light sticky pine. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Moderately resinous on the finish, with notes of sweet bready malts, rye grains, pine and ripe orange. Good one.

Dark brown appearance. Smells nice, juicy citrus hop presence, oatmeal, rye and honey. high bitterness, dense and oily with some sugary finish.
