Draft at Carolina Beer Company in CLT. Poured a clear, bronze-orange color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was some nice toasted malts, sweet residual notes, with grapefruit hops. Flavor was clean, easy to drink creating a nice balance between the malts and pine-like hops. Very easy to drink, quite an enjoyable brew.

Sample at Acoustic Coffeehouse in Johnson City. The beer is a slightly hazy orange-amber color with a medium thin off-white head that recedes steadily. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of fruity hops and malt. Light body with flavors of citrusy hops and sweet malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a short hoppy aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

A hazed amber IPA with a thin creamy off white head. In aroma, a light grassy malt and faint hops. In mouth, a doughy malt with citrusy floral hops, menthol, a decent IPA. On tap at Knoxville Brewer’s Jam, Oct. 22 2011.

Served on draft at the Bier Garden in Asheville, NC. Pours a vibrant orange color with a thin head. Fair head retention and lacing. Faint aroma of citrus hops and sweet sugary malts. Wow. Very bitter taste, with citrus and resin notes, as well as some bread. Medium bodied.

On draught at Barleys, Knoxville Feb 2005. Medium golden hued body, slight haze to it with a firm white head. Aroma has plenty of hops appeal as does the flavor and there is a typical caramel malt backing on this. Well-executed on all levels. Very drinkable, with a strong floral hops flavor that complements the honey-like sweetness of the beer well. Dry, bitter alpha hops finish, medium body, moderate carbonation.

Draught version. Good aroma and color opens for a beer with a very pleasing hoppy profile. Well balanced with a nice malt base. Hops follow through to the end. Good beer.

Good orange tint to a golden body, with a nice off-white head. Hoppy smell and slightly citrusey. Good overall taste with a little hoppy taste lingering on the palate for a while. Not a bad IPA!
