I’m usually game for most ginger infused drinks. $20 for a cider I’d never heard of? Shure. Pint glass pour. Clear, faded, pale yellow straw body. Smell is unidentifiable sweet and tart apples and mellow ginger. Taste is much the same. Very muddled, deep ginger, but soft and not spicy like I was expecting, which is a good thing. The base cider was nondescript, sweet, flabby & a touch on the thick side. Not much character to the cider itself, but the (candied?) ginger I thought was a nice change of pace.

Bottle - Raw spicy ginger and lemony sweetness. Light yellow, hazy and no head. Spicy raw ginger and a touch of acidity.

Bottle. Pours yellow white head. Nose/taste of honey, blueberry, ginger, oak and sour apple - medium body. A touch overcarbed.

Interesting mix here but I’m not a huge ginger fan. Makes for a different mix though. White wine color. Bottle pour at Glen’s.

Bottle at DC Epic Sour Tasting 2014. Hazy pale yellow color. Nice aroma of fesh ginger, berries, apples. Taste is a nice combo of tart apples and herbal ginger on a background of swet berries. Gorgeous.

750ml bottle pours a clear, bright straw gold with zero head but plenty of obvious carbonation. Nose hits you right away with bright ginger root, some lactic acid, a little home made yogurt, some vitamin C tablet, green apple skins, some past due apple juice. Flavor is tart, lightly sweet, a little champagne grape, green apple skin, raw ginger, yogurt, some limeade. Bright, lightly lactic finish. Maybe a bit heavy on the ginger, but still nice.

From a bottle shared at the DC Epic Sour Beer Tasting. Pours a clear gold with a scant white head. Ginger nose ginger flavor. Did I mention ginger?
