Vår lambic-style surøl er norskprodusert med en unik og selvhøstet villgjær fra Laland på Klepp.
Arv means inheritance in Norwegian. This reflects the culture of grainproduction, wild yeast, and the tradition of the lambic-style. Arv is brewed with local barley and propogated using the unique RYGR-yeaststrain, then matured in barrels.
Åker means field, and plays hommage to the over 1000 years of tradition of grainproduction from Jæren. Matured in sauvignon blanc white wine barrels for over 3 years.
Ingredients: water, barley & wheat from Jærmalt, hops and yeast.

Bottle, #569, bottle 97 av 900, ten years before bbd. Pours hazy golden, with a tiny head. Aroma is acetic with fruity notes plums, red apples and currants, as well as bretty notes of grass and wooden barrels. Full body, with almost no carbonation. Flavour is acetic notes of apple cider vinegar, plums, bretty notes of apples and wine grapes, as well as floral minerals, tannins and wooden barrels.

Bottle, 375ml corked. Close to impossible to remove the cork, at least without any tools. A bit too much vinegar for my preference, but sure nice. Funky, lemony, with barnyard, leather, oak and a touch of white bread. Nice anyway. 747415 260616

YG. Golden color with a white head. Aroma and flavor is vinegar, sourness, funk, lemon, oak, yeast.

Shared 375 ml corked & caged bottle, extremely hard to open, at Mandag i Annen, Cardinal, Stavanger. Hazy and "dirty yellow" colour, moderate white head. Aroma of brettanomyces / farmhouse and lactic acid, oak and lemons. Sour flavour of brett, lactic acid, oak, rhubarb and lemons, hints of herbs.

Sommeravslutning på Mi2 Cardinal juni-26, og idet vi nærmer oss målstreken klinker seremonimester Melberg til med Rygr Arv Havbris og Åker! Begge på 0,375 flaske. Utseende svært lik Havbris, men smaken er mer i retning av grønne druer og rabarbra enn den andre. Per er fortsatt like blid, og det er vi egentlig alle sammen. Vi øønsker hverandre en god sommer og sender en vennlig tanke til de som gikk glipp av denne fine kvelden!
