This easy-drinking session beer pours a deep golden color. It smells slightly floral and herbal, thanks to a hopback full of Cascade and Centennial hops. Gold is tasty and refreshing, with a round mouthfeel. In 2010, it took awards at both the Great American Beer Festival and the World Beer Cup.

Draught. Slightly hazy dark yellow with small white foamy head, faint honey aroma, sweetish taste with honey flavor, medium carbonation, abrupt finish. Nice example of the genre.

Bottle courtesy of my brother Justin. Thanks! Clear golden orange appearance with a white head. Grassy hoppy, bland pale malty nose. Sweet pale malty, lightly grassy-organic hoppy flavor. Pretty boring beer but there isn’t necessarily anything wrong with it.

Didn’t like at frist. Strong initial impressions from this darker lager looking thing. Smell was a little clean & sterile. Somewhat bitter and lager hop starting off but it gets more acceptable as the session continues. Some co2. Grows even more mild on the finish. Aromatic efffect on the olfactory as the last sips go down my throat. really grows on you; finishes nicely; the evoloution of the session tells a story!

Bottle from Bruisin Ales. Pours burnished gold with a foamy white head. Mild malt aroma with a little fruity hop. Near medium body with foamy carbonation - a bit spritzy. Flavor is lightly roast caramel with some citric hop. Not one of those near tasteless gold ales. It has substance. Finishing decently bitter.

Very slightly hazy golden coloured body with a very small white head that fades to nothing shortly after a pour. Aroma of malt, vinifera grapes, metal and a touch of apricot fruitiness. Light-bodied; Sharp pungent malt and metallic flavours at first then leaves some light fruit flavours and a dash of sweetness - nice at the end, a bit too strong at first though. Aftertaste is well-rounded and mild. The sweetness comes through and the bitterness is nowhere to be found - plus the malt and light hops are all in-check. Overall, a nice beer for the style and a good one to sample on a hot day! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in Chantilly, Virginia on 14-July-2010, sampled at home in Washington on 01-September-2010.
