Our Hop Dang Diggity Southern IPA will give you a full nose of Georgia pine aroma while the malty backbone provides for a perfectly balanced sweetness. Hopped up like a one legged chicken, this is not your standard “economical” IPA.

Mostly pine and a little resin. Dry and bitter. Orange pour with pretty nice head. Sharp bitter end with stone bark. Can.

Can pour from Hop City Krog St. Market. It's a hazy dark orange-light brown with nice sparkle, finger-width white foamy head with excellent retention and nice lacing. Aroma is sweet floral, pine, orange/lemon and malt backbone. Taste mirrors aroma exactly. Mouthfeel is medium side of light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, average carbonation and piney, malty finish. Overall, a pretty traditional IPA from 2016 or so, and normally I'd say maybe this malt dominance is due to age (no date stamp). Not my favorite but this is exactly what they said they were going for so props for execution.

Shinagawa Intercity Oedo Festival tasting. Thank you Walter! Golden pour, somewhat cloudy with some white foam. Fresh sweetness, tropical marmalade nose. Tastes dry, sweet and fruity but still dry, medium hop bitterness there. Good hop marmalade linger in the finish. Tasty stuff.

Great pine resin aroma with small white head. Initial pine hop bitterness that quickly balances with malt for a smooth finish.

Tastes a whole heckuva lot like a Sierra Nevada beer for a “southern” IPA, but still drinkable. Nice to see a hoppy beer focus on pine rather than fruit juice, but the hop profile never grows much of a bitter back end, instead giving more room to the thick caramel malts, leading to a rather nondistinct fade. Still, the pine runs deep, which I appreciate, and damned if Hop Dang Diggity doesn’t go well with roasted oysters slathered in hot sauce.

Tap @ Little 5 Corner Tavern, Atlanta. Deeper golden with a thin head. It is mostly tropical fruity, with some caramel involved.

Bottle. Deep gold with orange highlights. Frothy off-white head, rapidly diminishing. Aroma of orange juice, pine, resin, toasted grain, caramel. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/sticky texture, lively carbonation. A hint of raw grain, but fairly clean otherwise. On the sweet side. Above average, especially nowadays with the crop of murky, off-balance, unclean IPAs coming out of start-up breweries.

12 oz. bottle. Hazy orange color, with a big, foamy, white head. The aroma is bright floral and citrusy hops, butterscotch, light honey, and some sourdough. Malty sweetness, with a fair bitterness, but a little off. Medium body, a little astringent, and smooth. This is a pretty nice IPA, but the flavor is a little off.
