Inspired by Todd’s experience as a pilot, CAVU (Ceiling And Visibility Unlimited) is a flight term used to describe clear skies or ideal conditions. We hope you have the same outlook during the warm summer months while sipping on this light-colored and brisk ale that presents itself with hints of tropical fruit and citrus notes from our west coast hops, then finishes clean and bright…like a cool breeze on a clear summer day.

6 week old pint can A: Clear medium gold colored with a very short fast falling head and lively visible carbonation. S: Light fruit of tropical or sweet citrus nature atop faint caramel. T: Lightly bitter hops dominate with tart zesty and pithy citrus. Light woody malts join to finish. M: Crisp, clean and light. O: A nice and tasty light crusher. Low ABV but still manages to have good and balanced flavor. Enjoyed very much.

Location: Draft at World of Beer, Charlotte, 1/19/15

Aroma: The nose has some clean hops, citrus and a little floral as well.
Appearance: Clear gold color with a lasting white head and some fairly coating lace.
Flavor: It has a pretty balanced flavor, lightly sweet, with some clean hops.
Palate: Light bodied but not watery, very drinkable, with a fairly soft carbonation.
Overall Impression: I thought this was a pretty enjoyable beer. Ends up somewhere better a hoppy blonde and an APA. A good intro to hops beer as well as a good session beer.
