Bottle: Pours slightly hazed gold, with a tall, off-white head. Aroma is natural strawberry (complete with shortcake) Taste is more of the shortcake, lesser strawberry.... bread, wheat, candy. Initially, very good....but finishes a little grainy and grassy.

A clear gold body pours from the bottle and quickly sets up a tall white head. fragrant strawberry aroma. Apart from a slight sweetness, there isn’t much flavor of any kind here, much less the strawberry that i was expecting. Light refreshing lawnmower beer.

12 ounce bottle into signature pint glass, best before 8/2013. Pours very cloudy golden amber color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with some light streaming carbonation. Aromas of big ripe strawberries, pear, light bread, light honey, and light floral hops. Very nice aromas with big strawberry presence; and good strength. Taste of lightly tart strawberries, pear, cracker, bread, floral, light honey, grass, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of strawberry, pear, cracker, bread, floral, grass, light honey, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a bit. Nice flavor balance of strawberry, malt, hop, and yeast esters; with zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth and moderately crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very good fruited lager style. Very nice balance of flavors; and very smooth to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

12oz bottle pours a clear gold with some thin, white head. Nose like strawberry toothpaste, sickly sweet. Scary flavor, gross, strawberry shampoo, creamcicle. Gross finish.

Bottle shared by argo. Poured a pale golden color, medium sized white head. Aroma is strawberry, candy, jolly rancher notes. Flavor was strawberries, light malts. Not great, but light and refreshing.

12 ounce bottle. Cloudy pale gold color topped by a large foamy white head. Big strawberry nose with a touch of lemony wheat. First sip is light and refreshing with more strawberry and citrus. Light body with very little hop presence. Tastes a lot like strawberry shortcake. Enjoyable.

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours dark gold with a foamy white head. Aroma is quite strawberry - just a wee bit cooked, but fairly close to fresh. Med body. Flavor is strawberry, but it’s a lot more cooked than fresh. Pretty good job of getting clear strawberry flavor in a beer. Maybe a wee bit of breadiness in the finish. Guess it was always there.

Crisp copper and orange coloured body with a thick, four centimetre tall thick white head with a nice orange glow. Aroma of pure strawberries, sugar, wheat, malt, raspberries and more icing sugar - amazing smell. Medium-bodied; Assertive strawberry flavour at first coupled with the strong malty taste and a hint of alcohol and wheat notes. Medium-bodied; Very nice and super pungent strawberry flavour - straight from a farm, amazingly sweet and flavourful. Aftertaste shows a good malt backbone, some hints of alcohol, sugars, grass and a bit of artificial strawberry notes. Overall, a very nice and strong beer with super pungent strawberry flavours, but they all work well and show off extremely nice relative to the style and depth of the beer. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Wegman’s in Sterling, Virginia on 03-May-2013 for US$1.67 sampled at home on the Eastern Shore of Virginia on 14-June-2013.
