22 ounce bottle. Amber to light brown color topped by a small foamy beige head. Aroma of toasted malt with hints of caramel, baked bread and floral hops. Flavor of more toasted malt upfront. Hints of brown sugar and nuts. Lightly carbonated with an emerging spicy hoppiness in the finish.

Draft @ the brewpub. Brown color into the pint. Small white colored head. Some spots of lace. Nose of light roast, nuts, and caramel. Hints of pure grain and a dash of hops. You can pick out the German hops, very Eastern European. Medium body with light bitterness in the finish. I liked this brew. It’s a nice example of the style.

on tap-pours a rich tan head with trailing lace and copper color. Aroma is medium malt-some caramel. Taste is medium malt-peat, spice, bittering hops bite. Agree with some other comments, cookie dough, metallic.

22oz bottle at the DC local tasting. Pours a clear, copper amber with a creamy, slightly off white head. Aroma is a little spicy, malty but mild, sweet. Flavor is sweet, caramel, cookie dough, malty, light oranges. One person remarked that the finish was tannic like iced tea. Sessionable. I like a good alt, very underrated style.

Pours mahogany into a shaker. Tan head recedes to hug rim. Slightly flat upfront with dark caramel and an abrupt bitter hop finish. Sessionable.
