Draught as part of a flight, at the Breckenridge tap room, on October 6, 2012Hazy golden color, white head. Perfume, sweet, alcohol taste. Spritzy mouthfeel, medium low bitterness. Malty and lemon scent.

tap at Dash In (Feb 24, 2012) - Pours lightly hazy gold and smells of light malts and citrus. The flavor includes sweet, mild malts and good crisp hops. It has a light to medium body and though 7% abv and called a "double" pilsner, I found it refreshing. Good, balanced pils.

Crystal clear light copper glowing body with a very thin off-white head on top that fades very fast. Aroma of alcohol, metal, fresh hops, grapefruit, pine and a nice pungent strong scent. Medium-bodied; Assertive orange flavour with some other fruits, deep malt, alcohol, a light hoppy flavour and a lot of metallic notes that taste a bit off. Aftertaste shows some depth, but the metallic notes and strong aftertaste shows too much alcohol and bitterness. Overall, an interesting beer, but not great, still worth trying ,especially for the season. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 23-May-2012 for US$2.49 sampled at home in Upstate New York on 26-May-2012.

Aroma: The nose has a clean grassy smell, with caramel, some bread, and a little bit of fruit
Appearance: It pours a clear golden-orange color with a small white head and light lacing
Flavor: The taste has a nice malt sweetness, a crisp grassy hop flavor, and just a hint of booze
Palate: The body is fairly clean and crisp, there's a hint of heat, and it has a lingering dryness to it
Overall Impression: I liked this one. There's a little bit of heat from the booze that I could see being an issue, but that didn't overpower the nice crisp Pilner feel for me at all. The grassy hops, the fruity notes, and the malts all worked well, and the beer felt like it achieved the style it was going for.

on tap-pours yellow with a tight white head. Aroma is corn/grain, some perfumy. Taste is sweet light malt, 2nd perfumy/grassy hops. Mouthfeel is thick/syrupy.

On tap at Petrol Station. Pours a dark gold with a small diminishing white head. Faint corn malt and floral hop. Medium mouthfeel with a grass citrus and corn malt. A decent imperial pils from Breckenridge.

12 oz bottle, $2.55 @ Bert’s Better Beers, Hooksett, NH. Used a lager glass. Head that laced real well down the glass. Nice steady carbonation. Nose is grassy, hay like, Light malt. Malty flavor, with grassy hops, some malt backbone. Medium bodied. I drank this while making supper, so it sat a bit. And the ABV is apparent when it warms. I mean overall, this isn’t a style I drink much. If you like Pils, you might like this. Don’t get me wrong, no major flaws, but not really my thing.

Pours deep gold into a shaker. Bright white head with little retention recedes to skim surface. Sweet caramel aromas. Medium-bodied with sweet caramel, resin and a sweet hot pine finish.

12oz. bottle. $3 at Binny’s in January. The pour is deceptively like any other pale lager: yellow fizz under a puffy head. But the yellow is a little deeper, and the bubbles have a little more trouble getting up the glass. A nice malty smell that does not betray any alcohol, and just a little hop. Taste has thick malts, and that’s where the alcohol starts to creep in. Thankfully, though, no alcohol burn, and no adjunct filler to up the amperage. A big puff of foam stays in the glass, daring me to drink around it. I just get some beer bitterness, no distinctive hops. But then, I did let this sit around for several months.

Whole Foods Market, DC sixer ($16): For this price, I got to say that this beer was sadly not worth it. Pours a golden color with a quickly disappearing head. Aroma is of grassy and floral hops. Taste is a little sweet and the alcohol is very much noticeable, especially as it warms up. Not the most pleasant beer to drink and I have certainly had better iterations of this style.
