On Tap at Boise, EcoBrew Fest - Pours out a brown topped with a tall tan head. Aroma was nice lots of spice and belg yeast. It also had a good banana aroma with some sweet caramel. Tast was more of the sweet caramel, some pit fruit and more of the spice.

Draft at Maxs. Cherry brown color. Minimal patchy head. Sierra makes a non hop centered beer! Was bracing myself for a bitter version, but this is smooth and malty all the way. Mild roastiness with some nutty, dark fruit pungency. Really fits into the Bierre de Garde style better than Saison. Grows on you. Mellows. OK.

On tap at Beachwood BBQ. Pours with a small, bone colored head over a hazed brown body. Good retention. Aroma of some alcohol, bread, spice, wheat, banana esters, light berries and nuts. Taste is dry with wheat, spice, light roast and candi sugar. Fizzy and dry mouthfeel.

Pour is a dark tea like brown with a big tan head. Aroma is has some sweet malts with a bit of the saison funk showing up. Flavor is a bit of fruit with some earthyness and more funk shows up at the end of the glass that it did at the begining. This is a decent offering and if i saw this in bottles i would deffinatly pick up a few 6 packs. I think the look of the beer may throw off a few ratings. It does not look like something that should taste like this.

On tap at Ciceros. Pours a light and transparent brown with a big head and mildly sweet aromas. Flavor is an interesting mix of watery brown sugar, figs, a little lemon and funk. Nice enough, but not outstanding.

Growler - a brown saison? - the whole experience is kind of weird - the color doesnβt fit what Iβm smelling and tasting - the aroma is semi-tart and herbal, with a healthy dose of coriander and other spices, some clove and bubblegum-ish phenols, ginger - the flavor is tart up front, followed by strong dry and bitter herbs - a bit of crackery malts and gingerbread - a lot of warming spices late - slightly phenolic throughout - the spice profile is so potent, that this is almost like a mixture a saison and a spiced ale - good, but kind of a stylistic mess.
