Pull the pin, count to four, and get ready to feel an explosion of sweet raspberry and spicy habanero flavor. No need to worry about collateral damage or capsaicin shrapnel since this red ale has just enough malt body to strike a balance between fruity, sweet, and spicy. Making it the jam to your jelly, baby.

Dull mid-amber brown sort of colour without much head. On the nose, there’s definitely some fruitiness, and definitely a little bit of yeast. Fruity, rich, beautiful fruit character and the habanero treatment is excellent. I really like this – habanero jam in a glass.

Well FB has done it again, they've made a beer with weird ingredients and have managed to preserve the flavors of those ingredients in the beer, and yet deliver a beer that isn't very good. Here the raspberry and habanero both come through clearly and authentically, mixing with what seems like a fairly decent amber ale. Good mouthfeel. The real issue here is, who wants these flavors together in their beer? It's amazing they can do what they do with weird ingredients, but unfortunate that most of their recipe ideas are Really Bad Ideas.
Fruity nose and front, spicy back, pgood spicy ale.

Bottle shared in NH. Not quite sure where I got this - maybe a trade extra. Pours mostly clear copper-amber with a billowing, creamy off-white head. The nose has a little juicy raspberry, light suggestions of pepper, hints of toasted bread. Light-medium sweet flavour with forward chili pepper heat, some seedy raspberry, touches of earth. Light bodied with lively carbonation. Pretty clean in the finish with more chili heat, mild throat burn, green pepper, background raspberry pulp, some seedy bitterness. Refreshing, in that chili burn kind of way. Fun stuff.

On tap at Mikkeller & Friends, Copenhagen. Pours murky brown, medium tan head. Sweetish, fruity, berries, malty, spicy, hot chilli in finish. Burning aftertaste. Medium bodied. Not bad for a chilli beer.

Tap @ Mikkeller & Friends, Copenhagen. Pours hazy reddish with a small white head. Fresh raspberries and some chili burn. Big question is why?
