My 12 oz bottle was purchased at an Austin Total Wine several weeks past. So now it is time to have a taste. Pulling the cap and making the pour I see a dark amber-gold liquid followed by an appropriate amount of off-white foam. A pleasant scent with pine and yellow fruit. And I have to say the drink is even better. Caramel, malt, bread, a good amount of hops bitterness, perhaps a touch of apricots and a bit of pine. Mostly old school but not exactly. A substantial sensation, something positive I believe. Nice.

Amber colour with golden highlights, a nice light beige head, good retention and creamy lacing. Caramel malts with mild hops. The hops are stronger in the taste with nice bitterness, grassiness. Pretty crisp for an imperial IPA goes down nicely with Tex Mex food at Pelons in Austin, Texas.

On draught at the Austin airport during a delay. Golden-copper and slightly cloudy with beige head. The hops are muted and a little earthy dirt throughout.

On tap at Whip In, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out piney hops, toasted biscuity malt and light resinous oils. Flavour is very bitter, with piney hops, resinous oils, dank notes and dry toasted malt. Bitter and piney, with a bone dry finish. Nice stuff.

Full pint draft at Craft Pride in Austin, Texas. The pour is a clear copper golden with a smaller white head. The aroma is faint, some sweet floral and general bitterness. The taste picks up some with resin floral hop along with noticeable alcohol. The palate is medium bodied with soft carbonation and a floral sweet finish. Decent, but a bit flabby as it warms.

Sampled at Texas Beerfest. Pours a clear amber with a thick creamy off white head. The aroma is floral hops and grapefruit with citrus. Medium mouthfeel with strong hop bite upfront and a nice lingering bitter finish. Easy to drink, a goo IPA from Thirsty Planet.
