Deep within the arid climate of Washington’s Yakima Valley grows the Mosaic Hop, a newcomer that makes its debut in our pFriem Mosaic Single Hop Pale. This strong ale glows with an amber hue. Wafts of mango and citrus tease the senses just long enough before its assertive taste takes over with hits of lemon, pine and a slight tinge of blueberry. Make no mistake; this ale has a bright and tasty future.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Hazy dark blond color. Good strong ipa, I like the malts, crackery and a bit bready, but the Mosaic, although good, usually comes through with more power; it’s resiny, a bit dank.
Good IPA.

Bright amber, thin head. Almost dank mosaic aroma. Bitter, nice earthy hop, the malts are a bit on the toasty biscuity character.

Blacked out bottle poured. Pours a clear gold color with a lasting foam head. Corny, grassy hop aroma. I actually thought I was in for trouble with the aroma at first. Creamy body, flavor is bitter hops, earthy, grassy, and a hint of citrus fruit. Grassy finish. Overall a good beer, though the citrus hints would be great if more up front.

Golden with a white head. Nice soft fruits, blueberry, mango as it warms, tropical fruit, candied. Very strong flavors but not in an astringent way. I could go through multiple pints of this. Pretty great.

Bottle. Pours a clear yellow color with a medium white head. A big dank fruity nose. The flavor is sharp dank resinous hops, funky, a bit of lemons and orange. Really smooth. Perfume. Very drinkable. Lovely soft beer.

Tap at pFriem, Hood River, 24/05/13. US rating #1,000. Clear golden with a big old white head. Nose is super fresh hops, grass, pine, citrus, bitter grapefruit. Taste comprises orange pith, bitter grapefruit, juicy hops, pine bite. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, crisp finish with a good dose of hop bitterness. A great APA - up there with the best!!!

On tap at Bottleworks, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is very potent, full of herbal hops, hemp and some pine. Flavour matches similarly, with big notes of pot, herbal hops and pine. Extremely flavourful, with the hops coating the palate completely. Awesome stuff!
