12 oz. bottle from Julio’s liquors. Paid $2.69 before Wild 6 discount. Best before 09/22/2013, just in time! HA! Cloudy gold in color with lasting soapy head. Aroma of corn, straw and grain. Belgian yeast is light, main body of this brew is grain. More notes of straw and corn. Lighter in body with a effervescent mouthfeel.

35,5 cl bottle (5,8%) @ Ferry Plaza Wine Bar, San Francisco. Bottled on 21.03.2012 Rated on 20.07.2012
Aroma is light with some citrus, fruits and floral notes. Flavour is somewhat spicy with some orange and hints of citrus. Grassy Belgian hops in the finish. Quite straightforward, your typical Belgian blonde.

Whole Foods, P St DC 4-pack ($11): Pours a orange colour with a white head. Aroma is citrus, sugar, and a bit of yeast. This is not very interesting or even very good for that matter. Plenty drinkable, but that’s about it. Somewhat sweet. Somewhat fruity. A little hoppy, with a mild aftertaste. Overall, very meh.

12 ounce bottle from State Line Liquors, opened 5/16/11. Pours a hazy pale orange color with a medium sized fizzy white head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of citrus, bready notes and a tart finish. The taste is citrus, lightly tart notes, plum, some other fruits. Can’t help but shake a canned tomato vibe. Medium bodied.

Awesome packaging for this beer, but I can also see it being quite cost-ineffective. This brew tastes better than macro fake Belgians, but that’s not much of a compliment. Very bland; foundations of a Belgo-brew are apparent, but a watered-down body kills the party. Nice graphic design, though. (2008)
