750 c&c from Oak Tree. Aroma is malty with a lot of pie spice things - nutmeg might stand out. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Flavor is very pie spice. Nutmeg lingers as the liquid leaves. There are other spice aspects, but I’m not good at diferentiation. More enjoyable than many pumpkin ales.

Location: 750 ml bottle from Buy Rite - Jersey City, 9/29/10

Aroma: The nose has a good amount of spice: nutmeg, pumpkin, ginger, and some clove
Appearance: It pours a hazy brownish-orange color with a creamy tan head atop it
Flavor: The flavor is pretty spicy as well, yeasty, a nice, fairly typical pumpkin flavor
Palate: This medium bodied beer has a pretty smooth feel to go along with the long spicy duration
Overall Impression: I would say that this one is a pretty good pumpkin beer. It isn't the best one I've ever had, but I did enjoy drinking it. I'm a big fan of this style, so I tend to score them higher then others do, but I score them based on my taste, and I like them a lot. The flavor was pretty good, the booze was decently well-hidden, and the quality is there. Enjoyable stuff.

2nd Sample: About the same look with a nice copper glow and hardly any head at all. Aroma of mild spices and a touch of the squash. Light to perhaps Medium-bodied; Strong spices at first with a larger bitterness than usual and way less flavours and especially complexity than beers for the style. Overall, pretty weak in terms of flavour and thin in terms of body - not good compared to other beers in the style and definitely not worth searching out, even if you wanted a new Squash-based beer in October and found this one! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from The Beer Cave (Bob's Sunoco) in Callaway, Maryland on 06-March-2018 for US$2,99 sampled at home in Washington on 24-April-2018. Rating for this Sample: 6,3,6,2,11 Hazy golden orange coloured body with a very dense tan head and millions of small bubbles rising from the bottom. Aroma of coriander seed, nutmeg, nuts and tons of caramel malt - no real pumpkin or strong spice smell at all. Medium-bodied; Strong malty flavour up front with a very noticeable spice taste and hints of nuts and malt. Aftertaste is bitter from the nuts and malt, but not showing much pumpkin or spice at all. Overall, a below average pumpkin/spiced beer, and one that really doesn’t need to be tried. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Oliver’s Beverage last year, but tasted on 21 October 2007.

22oz bottle-pours a 3 finger high, foamy offwhite head. Color is slightly hazy gold/yellow with effervescence. Aroma is malt, pumpkin, cinnamon. Taste is very mild, some cinnamon/nutmeg and other spices. Faint pumpkin. A bit thin and mild carbonation, pleasant enough. That was my impression during the 1st mug. By the middle of the 2nd mug, the mouthfeel and the taste seemed just right.

2005 bottle. Big thanks to Zathrus for the bonus! Consumed on 11/9/05. Typical Weyrebacher bottled appearance, clear and filtered, that is, with a fairly rapidly dissipating dirty-sand colored white head built on forced carbonation. Body is a medium auburn-amber, with some lighter yellow tinges. Heavy amount of bubbles rising. Aroma of light pumpkin meat and a moderate amount of cinnamon and allspice. Caramel and light graininess noted without a syrupy sweetness and also lacking an overspiced nature which can be off-putting in these beers. Flavor is not overspiced, and the malt creates a medium-light body at best, but the flavors bring mild pumpkin and light cinnamon-sugar toast. Sweetness is clean and round. As willblake says, the beer starts out well-enough, but comes apart as you get farther in. I found notes of alcohol and a light dirty metallic note. Carbonation is peppery, mouthfeel is lightly papery, not enough malt sugars, though it’s not terribly watery overall.

Lightly hazy amber; good balance (once again), caramelly malt notes mix well with the cinnamon and allspice. I'm not huge on spiced beers, but this is quite pleasant.
