They say in a far off corner of the cosmos, there floats an ancient celestial entity. An Alien Named Sue is a collaboration IPA with our out-of-this-world pals Toppling Goliath, hopped with a planet sized amount of Citra, Mosaic, Centennial and Krush.
Notes of pineapple, pink grapefruit, mango, guava and layers of citrus.

Can (6/4/26) from trade with CLW--thanks, Chris. Virtually opaque, banana-smoothie yellow, tons of sparkle, decent head with good retention, soapy lacing. Aroma is strong citrus, grapefruit, pine, pineapple rind. Taste follows aroma along with late malt. Smooth, creamy, frothy texture, soft carbonation, finish as taste. Well made across the board with good strength but, despite all that, hard to get too excited at this point about a beer that has so much citrus, grapefruit, pine to it.

Two of my favorite IPA breweries doing a collab? Sign me up! 16 ounce can from Tavour. Murky orange pour. Big frothy white head. Aromas of orange, pineapple, apricot and lemon. First sip is lemon, pineapple, grapefruit and pine. A bit of resiny pine and mint in middle. Soft, juicy mouthfeel. A hint of pithiness on the backend. Tasty.

Canned 5/15/26, drunk 7/12/26.
Classic NEIPA notes showcasing the Citra/Mosaic and a big, fruity yeast with pale malts adding rich, but not overbearing honey-like notes. Centennial adds its typical grapefruit which intensifies and dries the Citra, while the berry-like acidity from the Krush keeps it dry and balanced as well.
Juicy, soft, spicy and balanced with various blueberry, mango and a full gamut of citrus. Rich, deep malts with proper attenuation balance and provide a satisfying texture. Rich and flavorful with "older school" character showing a top tier, pre-NZ IPA.

16 oz can. Dated 06/04/26. Aroma is papaya, mango, and some soft white grape. Flavor has a pretty strong backbone of grapefruit with mild mango, mild tropical fruit medley. Lighter side of medium in body.
Stern grapefruit and citrus rind bitterness. A very classic NEIPA if you think back to 2011 / 2012 timeframe.
