Iron Tankard is the first of four beers in Terrapin's Georgia Theatre Sessions. It is brewed with a generous portion of crystal malts for a full body and is lightly hopped. This malt forward beer has flavors of dark dried fruit, mellow alcoholic warmth and is unfiltered for your listening pleasure.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Georgia Historic Trust for Historic Preservation Fund to rebuild the Georgia Theater. To make things even more interesting, there is one Golden Ticket hidden among each of the Georgia Theater Sessions brews.

Bottle graciously shared by decaturstevo. Pours a dark reddish amber brown. Nose is plum, caramel and sticky molasses. Taste is very pleasant toffee, caramel, plum, dark fruits and brown sugars.

Bottle thanks to kiefdog: Poured a caramel brown with light brown head. Aroma is burnt malt, bubblegum and old pungent funk dark fruits. Taste is fruit almost bubblegum like, burnt malt, and loads of sugar. Finished slick and sugary on the tongue.

Courtesy of kiefdog. It pours clear deep copper with thin off white head. The aroma is musty raisins, prunes and dried plums as well as a bit of honey like sweetness and sweet red apple. The taste is pretty darn smooth with sweet sugar stewed raisins and prunes and then picking up a bit of malt and caramel malt sweetness. The smooth slick sweetness rolls right into the finish along with a pleasing thin layer of sweet caramel candy. This all comes together very nicely and I’d love to try it with a year of age.

courtesy of kiefdog. pours amber, thin of-white head. aroma, lots of nice dark fruits, sweet candi sugar, the fruit nose tends to become a little too present. flavors, malty, dark fruits; fig, dates. Sugary, profile has small moderate hops, long dark fruits presence and moderate dark malts. Could rate a little higher, but the whole fruit profile becomes a little too thick.
