Draft at Macado’s, Harrisonburg VA: Lilly and rye aroma. Cloudy golden, thick head with little retention. Lilly flavor. Very light body and watery. Good, but more like hop tea than beer.

Hazy light tan. Aroma is kind of in between lemony and tropical. Quite bitter, grapefruit to the fore, pulpy and rich grapefruit, with a vague and maybe even thin pale malt character. Refreshing, with all that grapefruit.

Keg at Tap East, 20/02/14. Hazed golden orange with moderate off white pondage. Nose is toasty malts, bitter orange, straw, citric sherbet, caramel, earthy, hoppy back twang. Taste comprise orange pithdom, lemon sherbet, straw, toasted malt, bubblegum, light peach twang. Medium bodied, fine carbonation with light prickle, body is a little thin and overall a touch overcarbonated. Ok APA but a long way from a great, Kernel have nothing to fear here !

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Cloudy deep blond color. This hop has a citrusy aroma, cedar, quite pungent. Dry mouthfeel, with not much malt flavor, but a strong pungent hop character; strong bitterness too; light fruity side; dry final with a paper impression.
The hop is nice, the base beer could be better, at least it doesn’t cover the hop.

Draft at Pleased to Meet You, Newcastle on 29 July 2013. Poured a golden colour with a slight haze and thin dense white head. Aroma of citrus hops, lemon zest and some spicy notes. Initial flavour has grain, bread a little honey and quite prominent pine hop bitterness. Hoppy, dry finish with hints of topical fruits.

Rake. Keg. Light haze on this gold beer, tidy white head. Palate is light and crisp and dry. Mild minerals. Light skunk to start. Brief flash of lemon - lime and then a light floralness. Quite NZ like. Mild bitterness in the minerally and semi dry finish. Interesting. Would like to try this in a single hop IPA.
