La Ferme Urbaine (LFU) is our unique take on a farmhouse ale. Influenced by the Belgian saison style, LFU features a complex blend of German hops, pilsener and pale malts, wheat, rye, oats, and spelt. The beer pours a hazy straw color and delivers a spicy, dry finish. So raise a glass and enjoy!

355ml can: BB May 2020. Drank at home on 2nd Mar 2021, 10 months after it's BBD. Misty golden orange body, wispy head. Spelt comes through, in this farmhouse style brew. A bit too sour for me, but I know plenty of others who would love this. Scored kindly because of it's age!

12 fl oz can from ORB Easter Belgium Beer Festival 2019. Hazy orangey golden amber colour, white foam head leaving lacing and spicy aroma, mellow fruity, caramel. Taste is sweetish malty, caramel, toffee, with some fruity plummy, yeasty bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi-dry fruity tangy finish. Quite drinkable

Pours a hazy lemon-straw from a can. Classic saison yeastiness and effervescence. Okay beer.

Tap at the brewery. Hazy golden pour. Nose is yeasty and hint of pepper. Tastes of yeast, barnyard, lemon, some florals. Refreshing but not a lot going on but still enjoyable.

Pours a slightly hazed deep gold into a snifter. White head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Dusty yeast and hay aromas. Soft with cloying yeast and citrus upfront turning to clove and stale banana bread in the medium length finish.

Location: Draft at Ogie's Trailer Park, 3/28/15

Aroma: Fruity aroma, lightly funky.
Appearance: Orange pour, small head, light-medium lace.
Flavor: Similar flavor, mostly sweet, mild funky notes.
Palate: Decent feel overall, slightly creamy, soft.
Overall Impression: Okay overall, but not a stand-out. Neat bar. Very kitschy, but a fun visit. Okay beer selection, but probably not good enough to be worth an add to the place database.
