Kölsch-style Ale
Based on the traditional style of Kölsch beer brewed in Cologne, Germany.
Flavor
Alaskan Kölsch Ale balances a softly malted palate with the clean freshness of hops. In the tradition of the style, neither overpowers the other. Both hops and malt come together to refresh and renew the palate. The straw-gold color and easy drinkability are an enjoyable way to celebrate summer.
Ingredients
Alaskan Kölsch Ale is made from glacier-fed water and a generous blend of European and Pacific Northwest hop varieties and premium two-row and specialty malts. Our water originates in the 1,500 square-mile Juneau Ice Field and from the more than 90 inches of rainfall Juneau receives each year.

gold pour and white soapy top. Grainy and hint of citrus. Bread crust light malt and herbal. Crisp enough palate. While watch cruise ventriloquist with kid. Which turned out super funny so great experience.

Bottled at Mccarrenn. Yellow pour, standard grain and nothing really that special here for a kolsch. OK overall.

Draft at the brewery in Juneau, Alaska. Crystal clear gold color with a small white head. Decent lacing. Stronger than average Kolschy aroma. Smooth, clean, and bright malt flavor. Clean and crisp mouthfeel. Medium-light body and medium carbonation. Low bitterness.

A name change apparently, I have a 12 oz can of Alaskan Kolsch, same ABV according to the label. I believe I found this beer at a Total Wine in Dallas, it is cooled off and going into a glass now. A fully transparent, gold-yellow liquid with a momentary top of very fine, very white bubbles. The nose is citrus and grain, unsurprising for the style. I take a taste and get mostly lemon, white bread, a bit of yellow fruit sweetness, malt and find it just slightly bitter. Somewhat better than expected but then I do find Kolsches an easily approachable style of beer.

Ok barley complex, but not really enough to make this shine. Easy drinking and ok, just nothing to travel to Juneau for. Golden pour with good head and lacing. Some cloying metallic aroma. Can.

355ml can into schooner glass. Thanks to bitterlady. As Alaskan Kölsch. Golden amber beer with a thin white head and high carbonation. Lightly perfumed malt nose. Flat and easy to drink, touches of grain leading to a slightly sour/bitter finish. For better or worse, definitely a Kölsch!

Dorada, de espuma blanquecina que se desvanece rápido. Cereal en el aroma. Cuerpo ligero, algo aguada, cereal, notas frutos secos y madera. Se bebe facil.
