Lake Trout Stout is midnight black with a thick and creamy head. It is a full bodied stout brewed with oatmeal and plenty of hops to balance the roasted barley. Our stout is an experience. It tastes the same way it looks- dark and rich.

Draft at the brewery. Pitch black pour with a beige head and epic retention. Excellent lacing too. Standard dark roasted aroma. Good dark roasted malt flavor with some dark chocolate notes. Not really sweet or bitter. Creamy mouthfeel. Medium+ body. A smooth, classic stout.

On tap at the Kennebunk location. An intense black pour with a scummy looking beige head; aroma of coffee and chocolate; sweet and milky in the mouth with the oats coming through; and a dry smooth chocolate finish. A nice stout.

Keg at the Portland branch. Pours deep brown with a creamy beige cap. The nose has lots of ashy roast, a bit of chocolate. Light to medium sweet flavor with bitter char, more ashy roast, tobacco, dirt, cocoa. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Light sweetness to finish, more bitter char, earth, burnt marshmallows, subtle coffee, baking cocoa. Decent.

Pitch black, 1 finger heather head. Very creamy lactose nose and taste. Hint of chocolate and smoke. Lots of coffee and oatmeal. Some brown sugar. The barley dominates this.

This beer pours nearly black with a medium tan head that recedes steadily. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of roasted malt and hops. Light to medium body with a sweet roasted malt character along with notes of hops and coffee. The finish is sweet with a chocolate malt aftertaste. Decent overall.

22 ounce bottle. Pours an opague black color topped by a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, espresso and dark chocolate. Flavor upfront is dark roasted malts reminiscent of espresso beans with peppery undertones. Mid taste is more coffee-like with bittersweet chocolate, oats and some worcestershire notes. Finish is more bitter and the hops show up. Overall, a nice stout that offers complexity and smoothness that should appeal to those who enjoy the style.

tap at Portland location - Pours near black with a long lasting tan head and heaving lacing. The aroma is mild, roasty, chocolate malt. It tastes of sweet, dark roast malt with a full body and a roasty, mildly bitter finish.
