Trouble in paradise! A frivolous damsel enters the scene. It is a young lady that over a few months matured in oak wine barrels, which gave her a deep but soft-bitter tannin aftertaste. The taste is full and complex because the brewers induced a controlled souring during the ripening process. The Mam´zelle is by origin a blond beer. Ripening gave her a soft red glow. This is the reason why she is called ‘high-blond’. The alcohol percentage is 8.5 volume. Brewers maintain that she is ‘untameable’.

Bottle. Golden pour. Aroma of bretty horseblanket, citrus, oak and peach. Taste has white wine, horseblanket, amaretto cookie, oak, citrus and nice fruity sourness. This is quite special, I like that amaretto flavor.

Bottle. A lighlty hazy golden colored beer with a small, off-white head. Quite a lot of nailpolish remover in the aroma, with caramel notes and some dried fruits. It’s full-bodied, warming and tannin-ish on the palate, with some red wine, oak, dried fruits and a vanilla touch. Hints of popcorn. Sort of interesting this one, but not my kind of beer. 170107
