Finch’s Pale Ale is a refreshing experience from the pop of the top. Its fresh and hoppy taste with just enough supporting malt makes it easy to kick back more than just one. Our late kettle additions of American hop varieties and dry hopping techniques make this beer one of our favorites. The citrus hop character balanced with a malty backbone creates a delicious, accessible pale ale that is sure to satisfy with every sip. Enjoy this pale with just about any pairing of your choice.

Can. Golden color with a medium head. Nice beer, none of the terrible bitter aftertaste of some IPAs. Aroma is hay, grains, a touch of grapefruit. Taste is A malty grain with the right amount of grapefruit tasting hops. Nice.

Can on the way to JFK. Pours clear amber-gold with a frothy, mostly white head. The aroma holds old pine, light caramel and toasted biscuits. Medium sweet flavour with lots of biscuity malts, grains, pine, orange rind. Moderately bitter. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. More toasted grains in the finish, old pine, earth, caramel. Perhaps a bit faded. So so overall.

Slightly cloudy bronze and light copper coloured body with a bit of an orange glow and a nice, thick, two centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of alcohol, peaches, light hops, grapefruit, pine and a bit of toffee. Medium-bodied; Strong assertive hoppy notes up front with a thick body and a great balance of malt. Aftertaste shows some good hop characteristics with pleasant assertive alcohol and floral notes and a bit of a kick of pine and grapefruit with plentiful sugars. Overall,a very nice APA with the depth and body of a much higher abv beer than this one - great all the way around, especially from a can. I sampled this 16ounce pint sized can purchased earlier today from Merchant;s in Dearborn, Michigan for US$2.69 sampled today, 02-August-2013 in Grosse Ile, Michigan.

Total Wine, Fairfax 4-pak: Pours orange with a white head. Aroma is citrus hops. Light malt backbone. Not really all that bitter or hoppy in the taste. Not a remarkable example of the style, but drinkable.
