375mL bottle, sent from Glouglouburp (thanks a lot, Dany), pours a cloudy, opaque dark-ish orange with a medium off-white head. Nose brings out lots of oak barrels, some brett, lots of the flowers and hibiscus, and some vinous qualities. Flavour brings out the wine barrels and oak upfront, followed by hibiscus, flowers, and some bretty notes. An oaky vinous tartness on the finish. The barrel aging is the more prominent component compared to the hibiscus, rose hops and elder flowers, though the latter additions certainly add some nice subtleties. Carbonation is on the higher side, without being champagne-like. Excellent beer.

Bottle at Bruce’s new pad, big thanks to Leighton, 15/10/13. Hazed golden amber with a good sized off white head. Nose is light piss, dank tarte fruit, lemon dipped straw, bitter apricot. Taste comprises orange pith, earthy fruit tarteness, melon, tangy apricot. Medium bodied, crisp dry finale. Refreshing sour - decent.

Tasting at Bruce’s new pad. Thanks to Leighton for this tasty number. Hazy amber beer with a small pale cream coloured head. Palate is light, soft and airy, semi dry. Perfumey floralness and tangy fruity hibiscus. Lightly sour rose hips on the semi dry finish. Intertesting and tasty.

Bottle at Bruce’s, thanks to Leighton. It pours murky golden-amber with a small white head. The nose is wood, vanilla, toasted coconut, floral, lactic and orange. The taste is crisp, melon, lactic, wood, spice, mild acidity, floral Granny Smith apple and lemon with a dry, tart finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Quite delicate and well-balanced actually. Tasty.

Bottle shared at Bruce’s in London. Thanks to Jay for trading me this one. Hazy gold with a creamy white head. Mild tangy clementines in the nose, touches of flowers. Decent funk in the flavor, light sweetness, hints of white bread, some oranges. Light bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Dry finish with light sweetness, modest bitterness, some white grapes, lemons, oranges, slight herbs. Quite delicate. Very drinkable.
