Bottle shared - Cheers Steven! Pretty bog-standard brown beer. Not a lot going on, very soft carbonation. Medium body. Bit boring.

A classic St. Peter's 0.5l bottle that pours a clear golden body with a small bubbly and sidesticking off-white top. Smells as it should smell really. Light dry caramel, a good buttery sweetness, light floral and decent for a beer within a boring genre. It has a nice comfortable below average carbonation level and the mouthfeel is not that bad either. Quite tasty for a bitter. Lots of dry caramel sweetness, it's well hopped with bitterhops, a slightly grassy finish and aftertaste also. Yeah, there is a little bit of butter in the taste also, but it's somehow managed to blend in quite alright. Not a exciting one this one either, but fairly drinkable. 16.05.2013

Aroma: Metal, grain, honey and a light peppery spice.
Appearance: Clear golden body with a thin white head. Average carbonation. Very light lacing.
Taste: Like the aroma - metal, bread and grain. Caramel and citrus hints. Nice hop bitterness but lacking in character and flavour.
Palate: Thin body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Soft carbonation.
Overall: Tastes somewhere in between a Pilsner and a Pale Ale. Unfortunately it’s watery and a bit dull - not one I’d have again.

Has both a crisp and smooth feel but this doesn’t impact on its subtle flavour. Has a rich lager type nose and is full of pleasant malts. Its taste is malts but they are much less stated. Golden coloured with no head. --- Beer aliased from original tick of Organic English Ale on 01 Apr 2024 at 06:43 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 6. Original review text: Bottle from St Peter's Brewery Shop, South Elmham. Clear golden with a frothy head. Deeper hoppy tasting brew with a good clean and full texture and taste.

Fles 50cl thuis. Lekker bitter, beetje waterig. Ergens een grassmaak. (2-2013).

Bottled. Golden colour with a foamy white head with a nice lacework. Aroma is very light malty with floral hops hints. Flavor is light, slightly hoppy, mild nutty hints are also present. Moderate dry and hoppy final.

From a pint bottle shared at home. Pours a hazy gold with a thick white head. Yeasty aroma. Bread dough notes with only a hint of hops.
