Lots of old school bittering hops vibe here. Lots of citrus peel. Soft carbonation. Orange hazy pour with great head and lacing. Bitter finish. Tap at brewpub.

Draft - Grapefruit, pin and a balanced caramel. Clear cold with a decent beige head. Bitter grapefruit and resin, with a pithy bitterness throughout that finishes dry. Bitterness overwhelms.

On tap in a flight at the brewpub. Cloudy, dark orange, with a small, beige head. Pine and resinous hops, with some hay and mustiness. Very bitter flavor, with little malt backbone. Medium body, and rather harsh. Overall, this is a harsh, difficult IPA. Meh.

Half pint pour at the brew pub in Atlanta, Georgia. The pour is a hazed orange brown copper with a 1/2 inch off white head. Nice thick lacing left on the glass. The aroma is a bright citrus resin hops, along with a touch malt for balance. The taste is the hops up front, fresh and round citrus, the grassy resin bite and them moves towards the malt grain, and shows a decent amount of crystal malt as well. Finishes has a nice dry toast character. The palate is medium bodied, dry bitter finish, smooth mouth feel. Nice fresh IPA.

Tap. Pours cloudy deep reddish amber with a small off-white head that leaves almost zero lacing. Aroma is caramel, toffee, citrus, pine. Flavor is the same, quite malty with medium sweetness and a light bitterness growing to medium in the far finish. Much more malt complexity than normal for an IPA. Medium plus body, creamy mouthfeel, low carbonation.

Half pint at the brewpub. Pours a clear deep amber with a tan head that lasts throughout the beer and laces nicely. Aroma has a good amount of earthy grain with quite a bitter pine and a bit of underlying grassines. Flavor begins with grassy and piney hops that are bitter in the finish with a grain backbone.
