Gold color. Dusty and bitter, dry. This is not good and nearly undrinkable . some sugar in the aroma. Did not age well.

Bottle @ Steve’s Foco. Thanks to Art for sharing. Murky darkish orange appearance with a white head. Tropical fruit, pineapple, fresh wood, vanilla, and coconut aroma. A little goopy, thick mouth feel. Pretty fruity, mango, pineapple, tannic, light white grape flavor. A touch sweet. Not all that boozy. Fine.

750 c&c from Wine and Cheese in Clayton, MO. Pours clear orange/amber with a slight beige head. Aroma is tropical fruit. Not strong tho. Med _ body. Flavor is woody, tropical and light stone fruits, toffee, and it coalesces into oaky astringency. Pretty tasty.

Cloudy brown beer, very big cream coloured head. Palate is airy and mildly crisp. Fresh vanilla wood. medium sweet. Mild malt cream and minerals. Hops are very nice - lime and pine with lesser peach, apricot and other tropical fruits. Mild fresh hop sting and the hops are turn a little grassy. Finishes crispy. The abv is very well hidden in this sumptuous treat of an oak aged beer. Gorgeous.

Bottle #00662. Pours a slightly murky copper color with a medium foamy off-white head that dissipates steadily. Sticky rings of lacing on the glass. Ripe fruit, oak and malt in the nose. Full-bodied with flavors of pitted fruits, roast malt and woody yeast. The finish is fruity with an oaky aftertaste. Decent overall.

Bottle thanks to Eric. Pours a cloudy orange copper with large frothy white head. The aroma is a fruity hop and strong oak. Medium mouthfeel with strong oak bready malt, booze and light fruit. Alcohol present but not overpowering. Very good.

Bottle provided by Travlr. Thanks Gene! Poured a reddish-amber color with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma is some malty notes, sweet brown sugar, touch of dried fruits, woody notes, some alcohol.

Bottle. Cloudy dark golden color, small white head. Nice aroma of vanilla, white wine, summer fruit. Taste is sour and bitter vanilla and citris, with rising white bread dough. Nice.

Poured up on tap at the Odell brewpub with a murky opaque copper body with gold edges and supporting a light tan colored head which leaves behind some wispy lacing. The aroma offers up firm resiny notes as well as spicy oak, minerally and sticky sweet spicy oak. The taste comes across resiny and firm with spicy oak, a little mineral like and then full-up sticky resin. The taste is a mix of rich resiny and spicy oak with tons of resiny spicy hops and sticky sweet malts. Wow, this is a real sipper

A clear deep amber, it comes with a +2 finger head of foam and looks to leave some nice lacing behind.
It has a spicy malty aroma. A good dose of pepper is there as well as a tropical fruit smell. In fact, the latter most now dominates. I’m liking what I’m smelling.
Wow, they were not kidding when they put this on the label...mango, papaya, and guava. It’s hitting my taste buds hard. I also get the pepper and an obvious flavour of vanilla and the flavour you get from oak aging. It’s soooo different yet so good.
Full bodied with mild carbonation and not all that much heat, the mouthfeel and drinkability are pretty darned good.
This *may* be my new favourite of the Woodcut series and I’ll probably get another one or 2.
