It is not my favourite style but it is a good beer, really smocked, you have the impression to drink some burnt wood, heavy to drink, tasting it a long time ago.

500ml, bottle.
Pours dark brown, with thin, diminishing beige head. This is definitely a Rauchbier, not sure about the Marzen part :D

Dunkle, kastanienbraune Farbe; cremige, stabile Schaumkrone. In der Nase sehr aromatisch, würzig, viel dunkles Malz, Holzrauch und geräucherter Schinken. Im Geschmack sehr ähnlich, rauchig, geräucherter Speck, viel Malz, schöne kräftige Hopfenbittere, trocken mit einer ganz leichten Süße, höchstens mittlerer Körper. insgesamt ein perfekt ausgewogenes und süffiges Rauchbier.

Old notes from 22-07-14. A 500ml bottle, pours reddy brown with a white foamy head. Aromas & tastes of smoke, bacon, wood, caramel & malt. Medium body. Sweet slightly bitter finish. Outstanding.

Amber brown beer with medium head. Prosciutto aroma with smoked salmon taste. Balanced salty and sweet flavors . First smoked bier!Very enjoyable but could not drink more than one in a row.

Bottled. The marzen is my favorite of the Schlenkerla line. Well balanced etc.
