Amber with a frothy, white head. Sweetened orange peel aroma. Crackers. Taste is mildly bitter and a touch citric. Finishes the same. Medium-bodied, moderate to mild carbonation. Straightforward. Not bad.

12 oz. can at La Cueva in Taos. Pours a clear, bronze color, with a small, beige head. The nose is pine sap, orange peel, and prickly pear. Sweet and sugary, with a fair bitterness. Pretty tasty.

From a 12 oz. can. Pours a hazy amber with an off white head. Malty aroma. Flavors are bitter grass.

From Apr 2007
This one pours from 12oz bottle a clear medium gold with a medium sized head of foam that shrinks slowly but hangs around as a solid layer for the entire session and it has some good lacing.
The smell is a delicate hoppy. I get notes of grapefruit.
The taste on first sip has a grassy flavour to it with just a hint of the grapefruit I noted in the nose. Further sips in and more of the same with *some* malt sweetness and graininess and even some honey in the background giving this Pale Ale some good balance and the mouthfeel is quite good. Pretty good stuff, I'd say.
The finish is on the dry side and it has a nice aftertaste. Solid example of the style, in my book.
I just poured the last bit from the bottle and now, it takes on a cloudy appearance(there was some sediment at the bottom) and the taste shifts a bit more to the malty side and that just adds to my appreciation of this Ale. Yum.
Bottom line: A darn good Pale Ale that fans of the style should find tasty enough to warrant a repurchase.. I'd buy it again, no question about it.

Bottle from Whole Foods-Indian School Plaza. Medium golden body with creamy pour, both body and head. Aroma and taste reflect the grain bill, which is fairly subdued for the American craft palate. Texture prevails over the subtle flavors, making for a middle of the road pale ale.

Bottle. Hazy amber body. Fizzy, white head, rapidly diminishing. Aroma of floral hops, grapefruit, caramel. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Grapefruit and floral taste with notes of caramel and toasted grain. Clean throughout. Light lingering bitterness.

On tap. Pours a clear gold with an amber hue and a white head that starts at the edges and dissipates completely. Aroma has a good amount of earthy citrus with light grain and grass backing. Flavor is more grassy with some sweet grains and a strong biscuit backbone.

Bottle. A- Malty, hoppy. A- Copper color, clear liquid, white head. T- Balanced, slightly bitter, malty. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, crisp finish. O- I was surprised with how mild this was. Not that bitter at all and almost reminded me more of a lager of Pilsner. Overall, if was a pretty average beer.
