12 ounce bottle. Orange brown pour. Creamy tan head. Toasted malt nose. First sip brings notes of brown sugar, cocoa, toasted malt and brown bread. Moderately sweet and malty. Decent.

Sampled from a bottle this beer poured a reddish brown color with a small foamy tan head that faded and left good lacing. The aroma was malty and toasty with bread crust, wood and molasses. The flavor was malty and toasty with dark fruit, molasses, caramel and bread crust. Long finish. Medium body. Excellent brown.

Tap. Pours lightly hazy chestnut, small beige head, decent lacing. Aroma is roasty, a bit nutty, faint smoke. Flavor is very light sweet, light bitter. Medium body, a bit of acidity.

The Majestic, Alexandria: dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is coffee, malts, and sugar. Taste is sweet with coffee and light caramel. Very low hops. Standard easy brown ale.

The appearance has a dark brown colored body with a two finger white foamy head that dies into the body about after a good two minutes (good pace for dissipation), fair amount of slightly thick foamy lacing that stuck in rings around the glass. It really took a while until the lacing finally slid.
The smell has some roasted nuts in front, with a slightly dark breadiness, malts are there with some light chocolate.
The taste has roasted sweet nuttiness, nutty aftertaste, and a dry finish.
The palate is about a light to medium, fairly sessionable, but here’s the kicker, well, the carbonation seemed a bit harsher than most American Browns, so uh... yeah, probably needs a bit of tweaking.
Overall, other than that, I’d say this is a pretty good American Brown Ale that I would have again.

Draft at the source. The modern version of their briwn, we tasted it side by side with Old Stitch. This one was sweeter, less smokey, and more body.
