A pale blonde cider with a thin white head. In aroma, smooth apple sauce with light acidity, nice. In mouth, a nice crisp sour apple with pulp, mineral notes, nice. Bottle at Brooklyn Pour 2013.

Sampled at the 2013 Chicago Cider Summit. Pours a pale watery gold with a bubbly head and visible carbonation. Aroma has very dry apple, almost pear like. Flavor is extremely dry with apple and almost give a bit of a wine note.

Served on draft at Max’s. Pours a clear pale yellow color with no head. Aroma of dry apples and herbal notes. The taste is tart and grainy apples, sweet finish and very faint tannic notes. Medium bodied and crisp.

$9 bottle from New Beer. Ommegang glass. Clear, still, white gold body. Sharp, tart, plastic-y nose. Watered down white table wine... seriously. Hay. Watermelon rind-like bitterness. Subtle carbonation. Inoffensive, but a big disappointment.

Bottle ($11.99). Not cheap. Pours with a drastically pale, clear hue. Minimal color, nearly clear, essentially water colored. Small ring of white head, but some legs. Aromas show a lot of sulfur at first, baked apple, manure, earthy funk, tannin, a lot of sweetness, earthy phenol, plasitcy chlorophenol, some jolly ranchers. These flavors blow away after a short while. Flavors are sweet and sulfury, earthy apple tons and a TON of acidity. Hugely acidic. Mild salinity, floral and somewhat watery flavors. Citric acid. Very lively bubbles, medium dry, a bit of alcohol. Overall very bland!

750ml bottle from Pick’s poured into a shaker. Pours a very very light yellow, almost white color with no head but lots of little bubbles. I would almost say it looks like sprite. Aroma is a little sour, like fresh squeezed green apples with a little dash of brown sugar. Taste is medium sour, like biting into a granny smith apple. Light bodied with a thin and somewhat sticky texture. No carbonation but a long sour finish. Overall, not bad. Loses a couple points for being $11 per 750ml bottle and not a whole lot better than other stuff out there.
