A baseline of warm, smoky raisin and plum, followed by punchy flavour elements coming to the fore – coconut, mint and blackcurrant. There’s a long undercurrent of treacle toffee, before the finish darkens to liquorice, star anise amidst a touch of honey sweetness.

375 ml bottle. 2015 vintage. Pours black with no head. Aromas of sweet molasses, treacle, dark vanilla, spicy dark fruit, coconut and slick roasted malts. Flavors follow same with nice alcohol heat and a big of salt. Wunderbar.

Bottle sample at a tasting at troubles' place. Thanks rayaron & zvsn. Brown. Chocolate, caramel, vanilla, rum, fruitiness, sweet, umami, quite boozy, a bit spicy.

KØLF 301118. red amber color with an off-white head. Aroma is soy sauce, berries, spices. Flavor is soy sauce, berries, spices, rum, coconut, plu,, raisin, wood. Complex nice and powerfulm beer.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy caramel woody dark fruit aroma. Fruity malty woody caramel bitter dark fruit flavor. Has a fruity malty caramel bitter finish.

Bottle 375ml. corked @ The Chris and Ruth's House, London. [ As BrewDog Abstrakt AB:19 ].Clear dark black - red brown colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate spicy, coconut, mint, berry, blackberry, dark fruit - plum, alcohol - rum. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, spicy, coconut, berries, rum, alcohol. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20160808] 8-2-8-4-14

375ml dark green, cork and wire bottle, no 0344 of 10042, shared with Finn and djoeye. Shiny black surface, dark with a ruby-red glint. Minimal lacing. Smell of berry skins, wood and liquorice. Sherry-like flavours, impact of black berries and liquorice. Rather sweet malt-berry ending. Solid depth. Good stuff, not among the best AB beers though. (Tromsø 31.01.2018).
