This is a collaboration with Alpine Beer Company. Amarillo, Columbus, Simcoe and Centennial hops bring bitterness to the forefront, balanced with Pale, C-80 and Carapils malts. The tropical and citrus tones of the American hops dominate the flavor of the copper-colored beer.

22 oz bottle. Pours clear, slightly darker golden, with an off-white head. Very fresh pine resin, floral, spicy hop aromas. Fresh hoppy grapefruit, pine, floral hop flavors, sharp and tasty. Great IIPA.

Bomber from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours amber/gold with a foamy 2 finger white head. Aroma is pine/citrus. Simcoe. Med plus body. Flavor is very bittingly hoppy. Pine/citrus with perhaps some floral. It’s strongly flavored. It finishes extremely bitter. It can stand up proud against NW DIPAs. Very tasty.

Draught. Cloudy with white head. Hoppy aroma, with citrus and spruce notes. Full bodied hop flavour. Still not a real hop bomb, with the malt allowed to show its quality

Draft at Rustico. Poured a slightly hazy, but bright orange color with a small white head. Aroma was heavy on the aspen pine notes, with some citrus in there. Hop dominate this particular brew, with plenty of pine and citrus character coming out. Liked the overpowering hop character.

On tap. Clear golden hued body with a lasting white head. Aromas are dank and floral hop character. Citrus, tangerine, herbaceous, DMTS. Low malt. Lively carbonation, mild grainy sweetness on the tongue, alcohol. Herbaceous and dank hops. Medium bitterness. Medium to medium high carbonation, mostly dry, medium bodied. Good.

22oz bottle pours a clear orange with some spitty, white head. Nose is a little odd, orange candied, pine, but mostly orange creamcicle. Flavor is sweet, light pine but mostly orange creamcicle like you get from an ice cream truck. Medium bodied, orangey finish.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled 7/24/2012. Pours fairly crystal clear golden amber color with a nice 1-2 finger fairly dense off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Some nice soapy lacing clings to the glass. Aromas of huge orange rind, grapefruit, pineapple, mango, pine, floral, grass, herbal, and earth. Fantastic aromas with great complexity and balance. Taste of orange rind, grapefruit, pineapple, pine, floral, herbal, grass, and earthy spiciness. Good amount of piney bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus rind, pineapple, pine, floral, grass, and herbal on the finish for a good bit. Nice hop balance and complexity; with a high hop presence over malts. No cloying bitterness after the finish at all. Medium carbonation and body; with a fairly creamy and crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a small warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a really excellent DIPA. Great hop complexity and balance; quite smooth to sip on. Really enjoyed this one.

Bomber. Pours slightly hazy orange-gold with a good-sized cream-colored head with good retention; leaves a little lace. Aroma is catboxy, grapefruit, vegetal, cotton candy. Taste starts out sweet, turns bitter and lightly tart, citrusy. It’s a little too vegetal for me; it seems all impy IPAs are too vegetal for me lately! Mouthfeel is creamy, carbonation medium.

Bottle pours bright orange with a medium rocky white head, lots of lacing. Aroma is huge tropical fruits and citrus. Mango, apricot, pineapple, grapefruit and orange. Flavor is the same but with very subdued bitterness. Just big juicy fruity hops. I still dig it.

Sweetish finish is hoppy and biscuity malty with some alcohol burning through. Lots of fruity and grassy hops, citrus and pine. Tasty, but not as perfectly balanced as the other Alpines.
