Traditional German Berliner weisse beers are tart affairs, often sweetened by the addition of woodruff syrup. Brewed with white wheat malt and fermented with lactobacillus, our tart Berliner riffs on this popular German tradition with the inclusion of fresh raspberries. The delicate and mildly sweet notes of the rasberries offsets the inherent tartness of this weisse beer, making for a intoxicatingly fruity, yet refreshing experience.

Tap at GABF. Pours a hazy pink ruby with small off white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is wheat, berry, lacto, dough. Thin body, berry, lemon, wheat, lacto, nice tartness, very good.

Keg at route CBC Clapham, 2/10/2015. Aroma is raspberry, tart fruit and tangy wheat. Orange / pink/ peach coloured pour with a lasting think pink head. Flavour is composed of super puckering tart fruit, clean sour, raspberry berry fruits, tannin, raspberry pips. Palate is tangy sour, clean acid, crisp, highish carbonation. Very good.

Craft Clapham. Keg. Route 66 event with most of the London crew. Hazy peach colour beer, small pale cream colour head. Light dry and crisp palate. Very sour, puckery sour. Acetic and acidic. A little raspberry comes through the blizzard of sour. Hard to drink, over cooked sourness.

Keg at Route CBC, CBC Clapham, 02/10/15. Pinky orange topped with a crimson cap - looks real perty. Nose is big on berry zip, straw, spice, funk, sharp raspberry, acidic suggestion. Taste comprises sharp citric pangs, tangy berry sherbet, tarte raspberry, funk, damp hay. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, smei drying close. Solid berry ’Linner.

Draft at Craft Beer Co. Clapham during Route CBC - London. Pours cloudy light pink with a frothy white head. The nose holds dry raspberry and Cheerios. Bracingly sour flavor, with strong acidity, raspberry pits, lemon. Light bodied with average, spritzy carbonation. Super clean on the finish, highly acidic, with present but restrained raspberry character. Very nice - if quite robust - sour.

Tap at Route CBC. The appearance is rather beautiful - cloudy soft pink with a thick white head. The nose is fresh raspberry, quite creamy, barnyard and lemon sherbet. The taste is crisp with a bracing tartness right off the bat, sour raspberry, sherbet, sour lemon, Granny Smith apple and good lactic bite. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Crazy intense tartness, but not so much associated acid burn. Very nice.

Very nice, great integration of raspberries. Yeasty berliner aroma hangs around while the raspberry takes center stage. Pours cloudy pink with good head and lacing. Light sour and tart finish. Great balance. Some citrus as well. Tap at brewery.

GABF 2014. Pours a hazy pinkish reddish appearance with a pinkish tan head. A lot of berry fruitiness, clean, and refreshing but not overly complex. Fun to drink soda.

Draft at Churchkey for the Bluejacket/Funky Buddha/Cigar City event during SAVOR week. Poured a vibrant red color, no head at all. Aroma was tart raspberries. Flavor was fantastic - tart raspberries. Nice! Got me in the jaw like a good sour, tart beer should. Really liked this one. Should have gotten this one a few times instead of some of the other ones I looked into.
