This is a strong pale, yet smooth and easy on the finish. Four different barley malts lend a rich amber color and create a backdrop to showcase the distinctive citrus-like flavor and floral aroma of horizon, Centennial and cascade hops. Although this pale could almost be named an IPA with its hoppy ingredients, the body of this beer remains reasonable and avoids and overwhelming bitterness.

Bottle. Golden orange pour. Aroma of bitter spicey malt, nettle and grapefruit. Taste has nettle, spicey herbs, malt, caramel, citrus and floral notes. Simple, not very good.

12 oz bottle from the $10,000 Bar in Montana. Aroma is perfumy, floral, caramel, spicy, buttered toast. Pours hazy copper with a medium bone-white head that falls into a collar after a minute; laces a little. Taste is sweet and caramelly, finishing lightly bitter. Too malty for my tastes. Not sure how old it is.

A pretty standard pale ale. Lightly citrus and floral with a bit of sweetness in the malty backbone. Refreshing and easy going pale ale. Good flavor without being over the top.

12oz bottle pours with a clear deep copper body that supports a thin off white head. The aroma offers up malts, a bit of caramel malts and then faint spicy to slightly pine like malt sweetened hops. The taste starts with a mix of malts, modest pine hops, caramel malts and then some floral hops. It gets faintly earthy and spicy and dank before a whisper of floral hops bump those aside. It ends with a light roasted malt dryness as well as vague hop bitterness and malts.

Bottle from Yellowstone General Store at Old Faithful. Pours hazy amber with a white head. Aroma is roasty caramel with some citrus and floral. Med body. Flavor pretty much matches aroma. Pretty good APA.
