Bottle at home. Almost clear ruby with pink head, looks nice. Lots of sweet cherries, cherry lemonade and candy, marzipan, some dust and hay. Really not much more, except a light chemical touch in the finish. Quite sweet and under medium bitter. Medium bodied. Typical sweetened artificial kriek.

250ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours a red colour with a pink foamy head leaving lacing. Aroma of sweet black cherry, marzipan. Taste is sour, fruity cherry, juicy, sweet, lactic, funky, some straw. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, sweet and sour finish. Quite drinkable.

F: pink, thin, quick gone. C: dark red, clear. A: cherries, cherries jam, hint of apples. T: sour cherries, sweet cherries, some tartness on the palate, light body, good carbonation, I am not sure for lambic but refreshing, 0,25l bottle from Match supermarket in Brussels.

25cl bottle. Pours a clear crimson colour with a small slightly pink head. Aroma is pretty much just cherries. Flavour is obviously cherries, very sweet like a syrup but smooth, slightly tart, sourness in the finish. Doesn’t really taste like a beer but it’s a lovely drink.

Donkerrood bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is ietwat zoet en fruitig, kriek overheerst maar komt niet chemisch over.

Bottle from Taniguchi. Rich, creamy cherry nose, yogurt, stones. Great, deep crimson color with a thick, low head. Sweet cherry flavor, yogurt, only lightly sour or wild. Nice cherry flavor, though. A bit too sweet. Half way between the bad ones and the real thing.

Bottle at Winking Lizard. This beer pours a hazy reddish color with a medium thin white head that burns away quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing. Aroma of fruit, yeast and malt. Light-bodied with a cherry character and notes of yeast and doughy malt in the background. The finish is mildly tart with a cherry aftertaste, Decent overall.
