Black and very low carbonation. Good, thick palate. Simple flavors with coffee and chocolate. No perceivable flaws, not alcohol presence and very easy to drink.

Bottle courtesy of growler. Pours black with brown head. Aroma of burnt malts. Flavors of sweet burnt malts, chocolate and coffee. Some piney hops are also noticeable. Full body with minimal carbonation. The addition of oats really gave this beer a nice silky mouthfeel. A decent, easy drinking imperial stout.

Very complex intense aroma of toffee, chocolate syrup, woody, leafy, bark. Trace of smoke and fig and even a bit musty smell to it. Black opaque pour, viscous, with a thick brown head, and good lacing. Tastes of espresso, bitter bark, currants, and high quality hops. Espresso and walnut finish. Frothy mouthfeel, fantastic complexity and balance. No trace of alcohol. Pairs well with strong meats and cheeses. Hops really shine through when warm. Amazing brew!

22 oz bottle from Harris Teeter in Charlottesville. Pours dark, dark brown, appears thick and black in the glass. Dark brown head sticks around awhile. Aroma is pure, overwhelming caramel. I liked it after a bit, but it was a bit shocking at first. Taste of caramel, hops, anise, vanilla, brown sugar. This is a bold beer, and very tasty. One of Legend’s best.

Pours a flat black with a fast fading reddish brown head. Aroma is outstanding. Smells like vanilla, grain, nuts, coffee and chocolate. Flavor is a bit of a let down. Malty with chocolate and coffee hints with a touch of heavy alcohol. Finish is very nice though, softy and creamy with a mild lasting flavor. Nice beer.

LCRBM2. Light nutty aroma - fruity, wood aor cask notes. Cloudy brown. Nutty wooden flavor. Strawberry earthy finish. Flavor doesnt quite live up to the aroma.

It smells like a brewery due to it’s heavy hop aroma (reminds me of my kitchen when I brew a batch). Roasted flavors, with a persistant hop flavor as well. The beer was not as creamy as I expected, and I expected the beer to be a little less hop oriented, but overall it was not that bad of a brew.
