A dark yellow beer, a head is small and blond. Aroma has fruitness, perry, some earthyness and sourness. Taste has furitness, hint of earthyness. Medium bodied, almost without carbonation. Heavy and joyless.

Bottle @ home. Slightly unclear yellow to light orange color, average to medium sized white head. Aroma is initally quite fresh, slightly hops and lightly citrussy. After a while it becomes a bit sweetish with hints of orangepeel. Taste malts, lightly fruity, lightly some orangepeel, a bit sweet-sourish in the distance. Decent body and carbonation. Decent to medium body, soft carbonation. Aroma is quite nice but the flavor has a bit too much of that sweet-sourish fruitpeel for me to really enjoy it. Ok beer though.

Strong blond named after the inhabitants of Nieuwkerken-Waas near Sint-Niklaas (the city where the Zythos Beer Festival was held before it moved to Leuven). Thinnish, milky white head and light blond colour, almost clear (at least from tap); aroma of banana, vanilla, white bread, peach, something faintly meaty and some DMS (cooked vegetables); fruity, malt sweetish taste, some banana, rounded palate with spicy notes, grassy hop bitterishness in the finish. Decent without being great, just another tripel to me.

Sampled draft @ Modeste 2014. Hazy orange, little white head. Smell is myoglobin (first time I’m using this for a review) & grilled meat, very strange. Taste is sweetish malt, orange, citrus, sugar, bit blah, average BE, no myoglobin in taste, malty. Tad sweetish. Medium, tad lighter body. Okay, not very impressive but enjoyable.
