Drought. Rich yellow with small foamy off-white head, doughy aroma, sweetish hoppy taste, medium finish. Quite mellow for an IPA

12 ounce bottle from Chicken Chucks. Pours a clear orange color with a medium white head. A nice nose of tangerines. The flavor is smooth citrus with oranges dominating, some light caramel. Good.

Bottle. Source not noted! Pours hazy golden amber with a slight white head. Aromas of light stone fruit and citrus hop. Med body or better. Flavor is lightly malty and quite fruity/citrus hoppy. Finishes nicely bitter. Not NW, but bitter. Pretty good brew. Probably in the top 33% of IPAs.

Bottle. Murky yellow gold color, large fluffy white head with fair retention and solid lacing. Aroma of citrus and pineapple. Taste is bitter lemon soda. Not bad.

Overripe lemon nose. Cloudy yellow, headless. Overripe lemon flavor with vague floral hints. Finishes with lemon zest. Cleaner than the other Long Trail beers I’ve had, with nothing offensive. Point deduction for claiming to be one of the "hoppiest brews in the States", which it most certainly is not. Fine beer though.

Bottle. Mild grassy hop aroma. Hazy golden colour. Small stable white head. The flavour is quite citric, grapefruit and lemon. Not so pleasant citrus notes, a bit rough.

Grabbed a pint on tap at an Apres Ski after long day of hitting the trails in Killlington, VT. I found this quite refreshing, hoppy, and bitter. Both me and my girl enjoyed due to the lightness of beer which normally i don’t go for but she always does. happy medium.

this is so close! i was hoping that this would be a good east coast IPA with a ton of hops like west coast IPA’s, but unfortunately, like so many other east coast brewers, this one was more of an english IPA than an american IPA, but i will say that it is close, just too much malt balance, an IPA shouldnt be balanced. long trail just needs to make this one a little more citrusy, and a little less malty and they have a very good recipe.

Location: 12 oz bottle from State Line, 11/9/09

Aroma: A slightly sour aroma, with notes of citrus and caramel
Appearance: Slightly hazy golden-yellow color with a fluffy white head
Flavor: The taste is mostly sour fruit and caramel malts, short bitter finish
Palate: A slightly thin mouthfeel with a relatively short duration
Overall Impression: It makes for an alright IPA, but it is not that great. It comes off more sour then it probably should. It doesn't have they typical hop flavors you generally get with this style, but it makes for an OK beer.
