On tap at Silver Gulch - Anchorage Airport, pours black with a small brown head. Nose brings out big roasted malt, some bitter hops, and dry cocoa. Flavour is big n bold, with loads of roasted malt, bitter hops, and dry cocoa powder. A bit brutal and over-dry, but very roasty and hoppy. Pretty solid.

Medium brown, actually a pretty light colour for an impy. Thin head. Aroma has a light molasses character with a dash of milk chocolate, but overall it’s a bit faint. The palate is very molassesy, with a decent richness of the burnt molasses character. Finishes with a light alcohol character, more molasses richness and a little bit of hop dryness.

Draft: Poured a deep black with a thin tan to light brown head. Nice gritty chocolate and malt aroma. Taste is rich coffee with a nice soothing chocolate and malt.

Draft at GABBF 2012. Dark maroon color, thick brown head. Aroma of cocoa powder. Taste is dark milk chocolate and coffee grounds. Very nice.
