Bottle. Honey and apple/orange malt aroma with hint of ginger. Cloudy orange-brown color with small head. Honey and grape/apple malt flavor. Mildly bitter herbal and ginger finish. Very good - pretty different from a standard Tripel but very tasty.

Pours sparkling, almost clear red/copper with a short tan head. Aroma is yeast, a little funky, pears and other white fruits....honey. Flavour is sweet, yeasty, honeyed and fruited... A little sticky, well hidden alcohol. Very tasty.

22 ounce bottle into chalice, 2012 vintage. Pours fairly clear orange copper color with a 1 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a lace cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with some moderate streaming carbonation. Aromas of pear, apple, lemon zest, honey, ginger, pepper, candi sugar, biscuit, floral, clove, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of malt, ginger, and yeast ester notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, pear, apple, honey, ginger, pepper, biscuit, floral, candi sugar, light caramel, clove, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of light fruits, honey, ginger, biscuit, candi sugar, clove, light pepper, light caramel, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of fruity/spicy ester flavors with the malt, honey, and ginger; with zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a fairly creamy and slick mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very good spiced Tripel. Very nice balance and complexity of malt, yeast ester, and spice flavors; and very smooth to sip on. A very enjoyable offering.

Decent triple. Aromas of banana, yeast and a little bubble gum flavour which adds some funk to this triple. Floral leave with some yeast. Pours clear gold, average carbonation. On tap at Hopcat.

Pour is a dark yellow with a small white head. Aroma is some fruity, yeasty esters with a nice sweet honey. Flavor is is again a nice yeasty fruit with sweet honey to follow. Leaves a nice earthyness on the tounge. This beer is not a one trick pony with just the honey. It’s a decent triple with a nice honey backbone.

Bomber from Liz. Pours dark ruddy copper with a transient beige head. Aroma has ginger, yeast/spice, and a touch of sweet. Med body. Flavor has honey, but it’s slightly earthy, Belgian yeasty, and definitely ginger. I think I’d like more earth and less honey, but it’s a good drink.
