Bottiglia. L'intensità olfattiva è normale e la continuità olfattiva sufficiente. Il cappello di schiuma color marrone scuro resiste poco. La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. Il liquido è di colore scuro impenetrabile. Il corpo è strutturato. L'amaro è deciso. L'intensità gustativa è elevata. La costanza gustativa è buona. Il gusto è piacevole. Il finale è secco e pulito. Il retrogusto è intenso. Sulla lingua si depositano impressioni di miele, cioccolato, frutta secca, orzo tostato, luppolo e agrumi.

Aroma of roasted malt, fruits, some liquorice, subtle smoke, coffee, hops. Flavour is light sweet with a nice bitter finish. Nice roasty BIPA with a welcome hint of smoke.

Oops. Accidentally stored with the Impy stouts. This is an old bipa. Clear dark amber brown beer, short lived pale tan head. Light palate, a bit thin feeling and fairly dry, decent fine carbonation. Thin dark malts, some modest dark chocolate, stronger bitter licorice. Mild pine and some clearly aged hops. Light dry finish leaves a bitterish linger. Likely more vibrant fresh of course but the mouthfeel is lacking for me.

Bottle. Almost black. Opague. Roast, grass and citrus in the aroma and flavor. Firm, earthy hopbitterness, especially in the finish. Creamy mouthfeel.

Fles gedeeld met Roelzie1986. Het is een troebel donkerbruin bier met een beige schuim. Het heeft een gebrande moutige geur. De smaak is gebrande mout en wat hoppig.

Bottle. Incredibly bitter and roasted, yet really not so much hops. Would be able to pass as a stout. Liquorice, some coffee. Lively carbonation, turns rather soft on the palate.

Towering, extremely dense & fine greige head over brown-lined black beer. Nice dry-hoppy nose, aromatic, with a distinct marine touch, seawater, seafruit (DMS?); dry hopbales. Dry-bitter, hoppy flavours, bit roasted with hints at ashes and faraway coffee, felt. Just a bit nutty. Light to medium bodied, quite slick, well-carbonated. Quite pleasant black IPA, correct on all points. Surprising, agreable first encounter for this brewery/hirer.

Pours a pitch black, topped with a huge beige colored head, very creamy and stable. Nice chocolate aroma, some roasted malts and a tad of citrusy presence. Mildly sweet upfront, moderate hoppy bitterness with some sweet fruity aftertaste. Medium full body, creamy feel. Alcohol can be felt quite easily. Not the best black IPA, but very nice still.

Thuis, fles van ABCbeers. Bittere pil. Hoppig chocolaatje met veel gistpoepjes onderin de fles. Salmiak! Backlog from 2015/11/06.
