Taste of choco-coffee, earth and prunes. Mid-sweet malty ending, slightly roasted. Well bodied, tasty, rather sweet in the long run (Session at Finn’s place, Tromsø 11.02.2017).

[ As Sori Coffee Gorilla ].Clear dark dark brown color with a average to large, frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, beige to light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, chocolate, coffee, dark malt, moderate roasted. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, roasted - malt bitter, dark malt, coffee, chocolate, rye. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Bottled. Deep brown colour with a mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is toasted malts, some coffee, mild rye bready notes as well as some toffee and mild fruity notes. Flavour is coffee, mild roasted malts, some caramel, toffee and mild toasted notes. A slight alcohol sweetness coming through in the finish too. Very nice balance.

330ml bottle. Jet black colour with average, firm, frothy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, beige head. Roasty, dark malty and coffee aroma, a touch of toffee, liquorice and treacle. Taste is roasty dark malty, notes of coffee, sugared espresso, a touch of toffee, treacle and liquorice, bitter hoppy overtones.

0.33l bottle from #033. Both looks and smells pretty nice this. It's a more or less deep dark Cola brown looking one this, perhaps even deeper with a nice medium sized dark latte colored head - lots of nice long curtains down the glass walls. Loaded with coffee and roasted goodness on the nose. Darker types of chocolate, something that reminds me of chili. No, it's Chipotle. A smoky almost beefy darkness with a little peppery prickle. Nice stuff. It tastes pretty good also. Perhaps a little, well not watery but mildly blend. At least compared to the aroma. It's quite softly carbonated and it's nice and oily in the mouth. There's of course lots of roasted elements here, as is a mild sweetness. The coffee is definitely present, but I actually had hoped for/expected more. A nice one! 14.10.2016
