Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks Stas. Black with a creamy tan head. Aroma of roast, licorice, coffee, some chocolate, and a dark fruits note. Flavor is a bit sweetish, with roast, coffee, a bit of dark chocolate, and a bitter ashy finish. Medium-bodied. Good

Miltei musta, vähäisesti vaahtoava olut. Mieto ja miellyttävä tuoksu on suklainen, kahvinen ja paahteinen. Maku samoin kahvinen, suklainen, leipäinen ja ennen kaikkea varsin pehmeä ja juotava. Vahva kahvinen jälkimaku on loistavasti balanssissa makeamman leipäisen maltaisuuden kanssa. Todella hieno ja juotava kokonaisuus, oikeinkin laadukas olut!

Sampled from tap at Amsterdam Craft Beer Fest 2016. Pitch black with a light brown head. Sweetish, slightly roasty aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, some hazelnut and hints of licorice. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty taste of dark chocolate, coffee, vanilla, peanut butter, toasted nuts and licorice, followed by a short, moderately roasty-bitter finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Good!

33cl bottle. Very dark brown pour with a tall tan head and visible carbonation. Smells like dark cherries, cold brewed coffee, dark chocolate and roasted malts. The taste is dominated by coffee notes, together with roasted malts, dark cherries, vanilla and dark chocolate. Medium bodied with medium carbonation and a cherry chocolate aftertaste. --- Beer merged from original tick of Coffee Gorilla on 25 Feb 2019 at 20:50 - Score: 7. Bottle at home. Pours black with a fine head. Aroma is pure espresso. Like smelling a really good strong cup of espresso. There’s some spiciness and earthiness but it’s hidden well by the coffee. Sweet and intense. Flavour is first and foremost also coffee oriented. Nice dark maltiness and some herbal earthiness. Leaves a dry and bitter finish. This is about 50% coffee, in a good way. My girlfriend agrees.
