330 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with moderate/light head. Aromas of dark dry fruit, dark sugar, nougat, light dry chocolate, Christmas spice, and soft toasted malts. Flavors of wood, tobacco, sherry, spiced chocolate, dark raisins, figs, and bready malts. Dry slightly vinous finish but not really giving away the 15%. Complex sipper. Excellent.

15/9/2022. Bottle shared by SHIG, cheers. Pours black with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma of treacle, roasted malt, dark chocolate, liquorice, molasses, brown bread. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Full bodied, slick, soft carbonation. Rich, earthy, warming finish. Very nice.

Bottle. Black with a tan head that is soon a spotty coat. 3+ Aroma of bread, cooked autumnal fruit, licorice, roast, seaweed, chicory, marzipan. No overt alcohol. Silky, low carbonation. Bittersweet with dark sugars, bread, spices. Hel & Verdoemenis seaweed, roast, chocolate. That edible foil thing that some de Struise beers have is here again - I like it but don't know what it is. Rich and powerful but the bitterness lifts it away. Very good.

Bottle @ Kvickly Middelfart. Pours Black with a small beige head and lacings. Dark fruit, Esters and Wood blending nicely in with roasted malts, ash and charcoal. Licorice. Well hidden alcohol. Gentle warmth. Nice rustic sipper.

Bottle picked up from Etre Gourmet webshop Grez-Dorcieau Belgium and consumed at home Thursday 21st July 2022 listening to Gideon Coe on 6 Music we had Schnitzel and Potato Cubes. Pours black with a mid sized beige head, nice bourbon, the bourbon is up front but doesn't dominate. At 15% it's unsurprisingly a little boozy, but soft moutheel, vanilla, roasty and with a pleasant sweetness that holds back any bitterness or heavy roast. Very good.

A black beer, a head is small and brown. Aroma has salt liquorice, some dried fruits and barrel, strenghtness. Taste has salt liquorice, dry barrel, some dried fruitness. Full bodied, but not much of stickyness. Maybe too simple, but the strenghtness is facinating.

Bottle from Best of Beers. Blck with a light brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, dried fruit, caramel and wood. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter finish with a little warming alcohol. Strangely thin for the ABV. 260322

33cl bottle. Black color, with a little layer of beige foam, disappearing. Aroma of whisky, oak, brown sugar, spices, roast. Taste is whiskeish/liquor, chocolate, spices, sweetish. Alcohol warmth is definitely there, oily texture, thin low carbonation. Extremely easy to drink given the 15%. Another amazing and yet different interpretation of the Black Damnation series.

Whisky BA beers are not my favorite but this one is delicious. Loads of spice. Indeed, the lingering presence is all barrel.
