This pours from 12oz bottle(bottled 011807) a slightly hazy a medium gold with a small head of foam that soon diminishes to a few islands in the middle. Just a wee bit of lacing to be found.
The smell is a nice mix of firstly, grassy and citrusy hops; secondly of some caramel malt. Good nose.
The taste on first sip is an abundance of grass and grapefruit. I can certainly tell that this is dry hopped..it has that certain "twang" that I so enjoy in brews that are hop dominated.
Further sips in and the malt profile becomes more noticeable, and does a really god job of semi balancing out the hoppiness. It shines the most when I swish the ale in my mouth. Yummy.
The mouthfeel is full and the finish starts off bitter but actually ends on a sweet note for me....I love that aftertaste.
Bottom line: Another brew provided by jwc215 and I couldn't be happier. A ton of complex flavour and oh, so, drinkable. Many thanks, my friend!!

On draft at rustico in arlington. Pours a medium gold with an off white head. Hoppy aroma. Quite bitter crisp aftertaste.

Whole Foods Market, DC 4-pack ($11): Pours a copper color without too much in the way of head, although there is some lacing to be found. Aroma includes some pale malts and a moderate amount of hops; however, upon tasting the actual beer, it seems like there are a whole hock more hops than the aroma let known (this is presumably a good thing). The front is lighter than the back of the beer and the hops intensity grows up into the end and leaves a slightly bitter aftertaste. At the finish there is a note of something that reminds me of roasted malts. There is also a sweet note to be found at one point. This is a top-tier APA and should be respected as such.

Very nice golden amber pour in the glass. Nose and taste is rich hops, honey, herbs and bitter. Rated 12/20/2000

12oz bottle pours a translucent, copper, brownish amber with a creamy, lacing, white head. Aroma is really nice, lemony, malty, sweet, a little floral, a little vegetal. The flavor is extremely well balanced between sweet and bitter, sweet malts, bread dough, oranges, grapefruit without being over powering, a little metallic. The finish is dry with a lasting citrus bitterness. Approachable with just a hint of aggression.

bottle pours light amber with a thin white head. Piny nose. Silky smooth sweet nuts and biscuit with light resiny hops in the finish.

Caramel malts, some herbal hops, light citrus, floral, as well. Flavor has a much stronger hop bitterness than the aroma leads on, but the flavor is still dominated by the caramel malts. Still, some floral and herbal notes along with mild citrus tones. Very enjoyable, if a bit sweet overall.
