This blonde ale is infused with Iron Buddha oolong tea from Fujian Province. Floral and clean, Iron Buddha tea adds a flowery note at the end of a pleasantly hopped and flavorful ale. Made with 100% local malts and hops.

From tap at Planet Oedipus β17. Aroma is grainy malt with strong floral and herbal notes, herbal tea, fruits, citrus, lemongrass, big herbal. Flavour is medium bitter. Body is medium. Drinking this I could have sworn it was a Lager. Anyway, I dig me some herbal tea in beer and this one delivers.

Tap at Mikkeller Bangkok. Poured a hazy straw colour with a frothy white head and some broken lace. The aroma is malt, some Belgian yeast, light woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a dry yeast, big woody, light floral hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

On tap at Planet Oedipus. Golden colour, white head. A bit of a boring Belgian Blond Ale with some strong lager notes. Didnβt get any of the tea. Light bodied.

Hazy tan with a thick head. Nice, floral aroma from the tea, with abundant tropical fruits. Great nose. On the palate, this comes across more as overripe fruit, which is less appealing. Finishes a bit tannic. The overall effect isnβt great, but there is potential and I could see people really liking this.
